Results from the transmitter hunt of Sunday September 11st, 2005

Happiness and good humour were present at the starting point of the first hunt of this season.

Because of the marathon of Montreal, the departure was made in a parking very close to the Lafontaine tunnel.

The first transmitter was on the Labadie street , about ½ mile maximum from the parking lot.  Twenty minutes minutes later the first vehicle was in the area but passed
without seeing the transmitter which was in a car, Sebastien VA2FUR was the first one to find the transmitter.

The second transmitter was a little harder to locate, it was on J.A. Bombardier street. The transmitter was a ARDF transmitter which transmitted in CW "MOE", but the antenna was changed for a J-Pole type which was is approximately 15 feet hight.  Several hunters passed under without seeing it... Rene VA2RDB was the first to find the transmitter.
