The organizers were Michel VE2MBQ the winner of the last Hunt and its accomplice Pierre Veillet.  The installation of the equipment was done in morning. Tests of RF propagation were conclusive.  We chose a power of 10 Watts for the 1st TX and 500 MW for the TX No 2.  Both omni with 8 feet of the ground.  The first TX is hidden in small wood close to a pond on l'île des soeurs.  It is with 230 meters of a car road and with 5 meters of the pedestrian path.  The TX 2 is hidden in Verdun close of bank facing the site of the TX 1.  It is well hidden in a small bush close to the river.  Hunting finished at midnight and we gave the trophy to VE2DSK and VE2MJT.

The trick to arrive easily at the number 1 hiding place was to find the good entry which skirts the small pond.  Very easy access by foot when you know the good way.
 

Here it is the famous entry between two condos not indicated on the roadmaps.  Very difficult to be directed in this labyrinth lately arranged.  The challenge was there... to find the most direct access to the first beacon.
The famous No.1 transmitter which made so much sweat much of participant. Notice the aluminium on the ticket number 1, it is an option which indicates that the transmitter was found so that the organizers are not bored too much by supervising (or while espionnant) the researchers.  Pierre Veillet was really well hidden in the wood...  He was almost find by a participant!

The antenna of the first beacon. A vertical omni camouflaged well with 8 feet of the ground.  Very beautiful RF cover on all the island of Montreal.  A good signal of S-5 to the starting point

Our spy the large Heron which laughed with tears by seeing the hunters passing beside him without seeing it.  It had is life saves this evening there.

Serge would be a good candidate for "Le Cirque du soleil".  He juggles with several items at the same time.  Not easy hunting alone.
At a few minutes before the end, Serge successful to find the No.2 transmitter. A smile of satisfaction.
 
Pierre and Michel give the prestigious trophy to winners.
Twice first!  That helps to run quickly!
Finally will be able to go to lie down after a hard evening of walking in the wild.
